Dennis M. Lanphier, CPA, Esq., LL.M.

Dennis M. Lanphier is the Tax & Advisory Partner and co-founder of Lanphier LLP. With more than 19 years of experience in tax, law, and advisory services, Dennis brings a uniquely comprehensive perspective to every client engagement. His combined credentials as a CPA, attorney, and holder of an LL.M. in Taxation make him one of the most broadly qualified tax professionals in the Denver area.

Background and Education

Dennis attended Gonzaga University, where he earned his BBA in Accounting. He went on to attend the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where he earned both his Juris Doctor (J.D.) and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation. This combination of accounting and legal education gives Dennis the ability to approach tax matters from both a compliance and a legal strategy perspective -- a rare and powerful advantage for his clients.

Career

Dennis began his career at Deloitte in the international tax group, where he met his wife and future business partner, Brittany. At Deloitte, he developed deep expertise in complex domestic and international tax matters for large corporations and high-net-worth individuals. In 2009, he and Brittany founded Lanphier LLP to bring that Big 4 level of expertise to a practice built around genuine relationships and personalized service.

In addition to his role at Lanphier LLP, Dennis maintains a solo law practice, Dennis M. Lanphier P.C., which allows him to provide legal services -- including IRS representation, tax controversy, and tax court petitions -- that complement the firm's accounting and advisory work. His deep knowledge of IRS procedures, tax law, and administrative processes makes him an invaluable resource for clients facing audits, disputes, or complex planning needs.

Personal

Dennis and Brittany live in the Denver area with their three daughters. When he is not working, Dennis is a passionate Denver Broncos fan and longtime season ticket holder.
